About the Artist

DKING.W (DALONG WANG) is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans more than four decades. Born in China and currently based in the United States, Wang works across oil painting, ink art, conceptual art, photography, sculpture, installation, and digital art.

From his earliest works, ideas and conceptual concerns have been integral to Wang's artistic practice. Beginning with painting, drawing, and poetry in his youth, he has consistently approached art as a means of independent thought and expression. His work explores human experience, perception, and the relationships between individuals, society, nature, and the material world.

Wang does not confine his practice to predetermined subjects, a fixed visual language, or any single medium. Instead, ideas and creative impulses inform the development of each work, finding expression through different materials, forms, and processes. His practice moves freely between visual, physical, and conceptual dimensions, without adherence to a prescribed artistic discipline or stylistic framework.

Among his significant projects, Mirror.Mirror examines reflection, violence, perception, and the relationship between the viewer and the surrounding environment through bullet-damaged mirror-polished stainless steel panels. theGame explores relationships between human life and nature through large-scale sculpture, while VOID investigates material transformation, natural processes, and the passage of time through installation.

Across more than four decades of work, Wang's practice has continued to evolve across media and forms. Its continuity lies not in a fixed style or subject matter, but in the enduring role of ideas, perception, and creative inquiry in shaping his artistic expression.
